How it works
Candidates register interest and are assessed for sector fit, existing qualifications and starting Japanese level — no prior fluency required.
Structured Japanese language levels run alongside sector-specific technical and vocational training until candidates meet SSW benchmarks.
Candidates sit the required language and skills tests, then interview with verified Japanese employers in their sector.
Successful candidates receive support through SSW visa documentation, pre-departure orientation and deployment to their employer in Japan.

Japanese Language Proficiency Test, level N4 or higher.
Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese, level A2 or higher — computer-based.
